Elytra Security was founded in October 2024 with a specific conviction — that India needed a cybersecurity and data privacy firm that refused to cut corners, refused to manufacture findings through offensive testing, and refused to treat compliance as a documentation exercise.
Venkat Mangudi spent 34 years building and running technology and security programmes across five countries before founding Elytra. The last eleven of those years were spent building Apex IT’s India operations from one person to hundreds, while serving as its CISO. That combination of operator experience and security responsibility at scale is the foundation Elytra is built on.
In eighteen months: ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified by TÜV SÜD. NIRMATA framework co-authored and MoU signed at the National Cybersecurity Conference 2026. ATAL standard released for global peer review. PRIVUS privacy capability model live — released within days of DPDPA final rules being notified. Thirteen products built or assembled. Active vCISO and vDPO engagements across India and internationally. Corporate Member of NCSRC.
